Does eSIM work without internet?

eSIM does work without internet. However, to activate your eSIM, you must be connected to the internet. We recommend using the free internet service in Haneda, Narita or any other airport in Japan to activate your eSIM. You may also activate your eSIM right before your flight to ensure a smooth transition into Japan.
